6TH DIMENSION for VILLIERS HIGH SCHOOL
Following the success of the Platforum Playground we designed and built at Villiers High School, we were invited to design the new sixth form common room for the school.
This was the first sixth form center at the school, and needed to be really special to encourage the students to continue their studies.
Some of the students didn’t have access to a private room at home, so creating a space that could feel like their own was essential.
We spent time working closely with the staff and students to understand their needs, and make sure we were designing something relevant.
We designed three areas, concentration area for individual study, a collaboration area for group work, and a contemplation area to relax and unwind. We also created a graphic identity for the sixth form, to allow the students to feel part of an elite team.
