OUT OF THE BOX at the MoMA, New York, Summer 2011

Out of the Box – our project which looked at making existing smartphones easier to use for the ageing population – is going to be a part of the upcoming Talk to Me exhibition at the MoMA, New York.

The project looked at ways of bridging the digital divide by using analogue methods to teach digital concepts. We used objects like books, maps and cards which are familiar to so many people as a starting point to explain touch interfaces and the new interactions supported by today’s smartphones.

You can find out more about the project by clicking on the related links below, and we offer a comprehensive lecture on the research methods we developed to arrive to those solutions – just email us to find out more.

The show will run from 24 July until 7 November 2011 and we plan on being in New York for at least a week after the show – so if you’re interested come and say hello!
